SAN JOSE, Calif. - The SaberCats announced today that they have been assigned a pair of defensive backs; Brandon Brinkley and former Utah Blaze defensive back LaBrose Hedgemon.
"Brandon and LaBrose are both quick and tenacious defenders who really get after the football," said Owner/Head Coach Darren Arbet. "They add solid depth to our team and we are looking forward to seeing both of them contribute right away.”
Brinkley (6-0, 190, Houston) appeared in two games with the SaberCats to begin the 2012 season, recording eight total tackles and a fumble recovery before being traded to the Chicago Rush. With Chicago, Brinkley played in just one game on May 26 against San Jose and recorded a team-high eight tackles in that game.
